Dry Dock Brewing, Co. is one of Colorado's newest microbreweries, one of Colorado's smallest breweries, and Aurora's only microbrewery!
Who are those guys?
Dry Dock Brewing, Co. was established in October of 2005 by Kevin DeLange (left) and Kevin Kellogg. It is the sister business of The Brew Hut. It is currently owned and operated by Kevin DeLange with main brewing responsibilities falling under Bill Eye. Bill (bottom) has been crafting beer professionally for over 13 years, with his specialty being German Lagers. The assistant brewers are Lachlan McLean (right) and Walt Chleva (top). You'll also find a slew of regular helpers pouring pints and filling growlers behind the bar.
Awards
Dry Dock won Small Brewing Company of the Year and Small Brewing Company Brewer of the Year at the 2009 Great American Beer Festival. They received a Gold Medal for their Bismarck Altbier, a Silver Medal for the U-Boat Hefeweizen and a Silver Medal for the Reines Marzen. Dry Dock has also won awards at the World Beer Cup: a Gold in 2006 for the HMS Victory ESB, a Silver in 2010 for the Three Heavy Wee Heavy Scottish Ale and a Bronze in 2008 for the HMS Bounty Old Ale.
